Baseboard Installation Height

Easy question for you folks that do this on a daily basis....
How far above the subfloor should I mount Slantfin 30 baseboard if the floor is going to be carpeted? I assume it needs to be up a bit so the carpet tucks under neatly.
Thanks.

Baseboard height
I go 1" - 1 1/4" depending on the type of carpet and pad thickness.0 -
I just use a piece of 3/4 copper pipe. 7/8 inch.
That will put the bottom just at the top of the carpet.
Much higher than that and you will be able to see the unfinished wall under the baseboard from accrost the room.0 -
FURRING STRIP
use a furring strip as a template. set the base board on top & level0 -
The carpet edge can be rolled up under the baseboard to hide the unfinished wall.0 -

I do 3/4". New base board is designed much better than days of old. They have designed them so if someone installs them right on the floor, the front will still allow air circulation, not like the old stuff. Have you considered Haydon? Much better IMO. peace0
