a flow issue to me also. Check you delta t across boiler is a single stage boiler or lock in high fire and check. If only 3 mos old I would say it should not be build up in heat x of boiler. Some sort of flow restriction... Good luck, Tim

No, not the girl from Porkey's
We have a customer with a 3 month old W/M that howls when it runs. The rep is telling us to flush the unit out with a 50% mixture of Muriatic Acid and water.
Has anyone done this before?0 -
Just had a customer
Where we put in a tankless Navien high efficiency water heater that howled like crazy. After a lot of trial and error we determined that the exhaust was making the noise. It was too close to the intake due to some field conditions. (neighboring home was only several feet away)
We experimented with the exhaust and solved the problem.

Thanks guys. It seems no one went out to check the flow. I'll be checking the unit out tomorrow.0 -
I had one whistle, but not howl. Was a faulty "O" ring. Now if we could only get one to sing, we could start a band. lol peace0
