    a great experience.

    We started with Roser for six weeks one summer and then took in a Swedish boy, Anders, for a school year and then a Norwegian boy, Pal (Paul) for another. The boys were as close as brothers for our two daughters.

    All three were wonderful representatives of their countries and have kept in touch all these years.

    Here is one of the few pictures I have of me. I am always taking pics of others, but for some reason no one wants one of me. My mom still likes them though. This was a great idea for a post. I am always wondering what everyone looks like. Nice pics guys.

    Jack: that's a great story about the mother returning with her children. My wife and I had an exchange student staying with us when our kids were young, but she spent the whole time in her room. It seems that she didn't like being away from home as much as she thought.

    That was me last week! CG-7/rollout wasted, brush and vac first time cold, brush and vac second time 1 hr later hot.

    Good 'ol running the berler for the drywall peeps. Nobody brings their own heat anymore.

    Thanks for the compliment Bob. I try really hard to make everything look like that even when it is in a crawlspace or buried in a wall. Drives some nuts, but it makes me feel good that someday someone might tear into some wall or hidden area and say...man that's not too bad of work.

    better than the post office!!

    when my children were young, we would always look at the " wanted" pictures in the post office. this post takes me back to those days!!

    also when nixon was running for pres, someone found an unflattering pic of him, and made up an ad: "would you buy a used car from this man?" a good thread, thanks all!!--nbc

    Alan,

    Is this picture taken on Kauai? Trail head in from Ke'e Beach to the waterfalls on the Na'Pali Coast? If it is, I think me and my wife have a picture of us taken almost at this exact spot! Too funny! did you make it all the way in to the waterfalls? Hope so cause they were great to swin in the pools.
