After my last posting with some great answers from very experienced posters, thanks.
Decided to stay with steam and upgrade the boiler.
First was the Weil-Mclain with a Riello Burner. Your thoughts???
Suggestions with other models???
Suggestions with heating of domestic water systems would be welcomed as well.
Thanks.

I Don't like O ring construction
Like Weil McLane uses
I would go with the new cats meow. Burnhams Mega Steam with a Riello burner ...There was an error rendering this rich post.

Weil
I'll echo BIG ED's response. Great forced hot water boiler, but not a big fan of them when steam. Mega Steam. peace0 -
Despite the criticism....
I cant say That I've ever had a bad time with a Weil Gold steamer thats been properly installed. I have even taken "problem child" Golds and repiped them with excellent results. The dreaded seals between the sections have only been a problem with me on one occasion and the piping was horrendous to begin with. I've heard the horror stories. Just never lived them myself. That said.... The mega steam is the hottest ticket in town.0 -
MegaSteam
is my choice too. It's only available with the Beckett AFG, but that's not a problem.

I have 4 WM/Riello installed
I don't know what size boiler you are looking at but mine are all 688 and up with Siemens controllers. Everyone has the steam pressure set below 10 ounces and are working GREAT!0 -

EH Tommy how have you been?0 -
Been good....
Thanks for asking BG. Plugging along at the usual pace(crazy) but slowing to a crawl at the moment. Family is well and we're looking forward to some down time during the summer. Was an extremely busy winter for me and I'm ready for a break. I was thinking of putting together a "group" fishing trip here at some point this summer. Maybe a combination of the gang from here and OTT and Firedragons since we all are pretty much the same people. Sort of a "Big Ugly" on the high seas. I'll put out the feelers soon and we'll see where that goes. Just a thought.Hope all is well on your end too .0 -
Mega Steam, no question in my mind.0 -
commercial boilers
That's V-9 turf, not Megasteam, though the section seal method debate still stands.0
