I am building a vacation home with a radiant floor heating system. The boiler is a Polaris gas unit. I wish to be able to remotely contol the thermostats so that when we visit the vacation home it has already warmed to a desirable temp. Can you provide any suggestions on how I could best accomplish this....afforably?

Honeywell at least used to have one. Don't know if they still do. Try this website--http://customer.honeywell.com. Scroll down to the right corner bottom of the page and see if you can choose to enter description words--such as phone thermostat. I do recall that it required a land line on the vacation home premises.0 -
Autodailer
yes, i use the Autodailers from Controlled Products...
You can interface two thermostats (one at normal 68 F,and one other at a reduced temp. ) you may call into the system and take a main room from a unoccupied to a occupied stage!
This " auto dailer" will also call three phone numbers when there is a low temp/high temp/batteries alarm/power failure..you may also check the status on the house.
To bad you are installing a Polaris, i do not really like this "Boiler"
If you were installing a Viessmann you could lower your overall house temperature via this "autodailer'
And then again you may be able to interface a "tekmar" control to your polaris and call into the Tekmar via the autodailer.
Your Heating expert needs to control the temp going into the floor anyway so he shall be able to interface the Auto dailer to the tekmar
good luck!0
