Are copper pipes labeled so you can tell origin?

sounds like a witch hunt
and while i can't prove it, bec i don't have cu fittings from way back, i think the dry-fit tolerance has become less precise by whomever-made0 -
Tolerances
Have become unacceptable, except for 1 1/2 - 2" up sizes IMHO...and I have some old fittings from the 70s-80s to prove it...same goes for the thickness of L, M copper, and Romex wire.0
