Even if you have to call the cops on your own brother or sister or tavern. Everyone should be repsonsible for themselves, but these bartenders that keep serving POLUTTED patrrons are a HUGE part of the problem. Mad Dog is on the sidelines this year....gave up ALL alcohol for lenten sacrifice. God Bless those kids and the GUILT that woman will live with until her dying day. Mad Dog

    Killed by drunk driver

A drunk driver took the lives of four innocent teenagers in metro Detroit last night. They were in a car waiting to make a turn at a light when a drunk in her van plowed into them at 60-80 miles an hour. Three of them (all 16-17) died instantly and the fourth died this morning. They had just left a gas station where they had bought sub sandwiches. All were friends and high school classmates.

This stabs me right through the heart. Please PLEASE don't let anyone drive drunk on this St. Patrick's Day or ANY day. Take their keys even if you have to get in a fight or call a cab. Think about these four young people and their grieving families. Is it worth it?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Great Point Guys

I had a girlfriend killed when I was in junior high. She was hit and killed by a drunk driver. I also had a friend’s daughter killed recently here in Colorado by someone who was too involved in their cell phone conversation to notice the little girl on a bike. The guilt that these people must face the rest of their lives will be tremendous. It is never worth drinking too much, even if it is a little too much, or not paying attention when driving. Place a family member or friend in these scenarios before you head out for the night. The guilt that comes with a few too many drinks is overwhelming. Tell your friends to drive for you, call a cab, or instruct them to beat the living donkey out of you to keep you from driving if they feel you have had too much to drink. My prayers are with the families and friends of these four teenagers.

In the words of my father, a true Irishman

Stay off the roads, it's amateur night. In fact stay off the sidewalks too...

    Drunk

A tragedy to be sure. Four promising young lives ended and many others altered forver, including the DUI. Alcohol clouds your judgement and your reflexes. How many people have been drinking and thought they were fine? This can happen anytime someone drinks and drives, no matter how you think you feel.
