REHAU Pex Ratings which is PEXa
RAUPEX O2 Barrier Pipe is rated for continuous operation of:
- 160 psi @ 73.4°F
- 100 psi @ 180°F
- 80 psi @ 200°F
This is taken from the product catalog
Not sure about PEXb or PEXc0 -
thanks rick
i know of rehau, but i didn't know their specs. i'll check it out0 -
All PEX
meets the same standards for Temp and Pressure ratings. See ASTM F876. Read the print line on the pipe and it will list all of the details.
Does not matter how the PEX is extruded.

All extrusion methods are similar
It the cross-linking process that changes high density poly ethylene to PEX is what determines PEXa b or c. which in the industry are known as the Engel, Silane or electron beam processing methods. Cross-linking changes the material from a thermoplastic to an elastomer... Fun stuff huh?
