domestic water sizing
Hey folks, any ideas on supplying domestic hot water with an indirect fired TT water heater, Smart series, where I need 14.5 GPH of hot water at 60psi and it needs to run for about 20 minutes, and only 65K of radiant in the house? Venting is about 30 veritcal feet with quite a few zigs and zags. Would like to use a Knight boiler with the triangle tube indirect. Have also thought of using a 50 to 80 gallon storage tank piped in series w the indirect and use a recirc pump. Any other ideas? Thanks0 -
That's
300 gallons. Forget the indirect, use a "flash" heater; it will have to be a big one.0 -
GPH or GPM...
THere IS a big difference.

Temperatures?
What is the temperature of the water coming into the building? Hot hot do you want to supply? This formula will show you the amount of BTUs required to heat, for example 300 gallons from 55 to 140F.
