Geo Storage

Options
Trying to find Geothermal storage tanks for up coming project. Require 2 inch tappings for correct flow rate, 120 gallons etc.

Bradford White has what we want, but is too tall. Mechancial Room is 64 inches high from floor to ceiling.

Can any one recomend a manufacturer with Geo required flow rates that would fit in the short vertical space we have?

We will require 2 tanks. One for hot water one for chilled as well as a desuperheater.

Thanks Todd

    Geothermal Storage Tanks

I used McMaster Carr for a project. They Delivered next day. Had insulator insulate the tanks. Go to their website and see if they have what you are looking for as far as size.

    Todd!!

LONG time no see. How the heck ya been? How's John boy. Haven't seen him in a coons age either!

For heating, consider the use of a reverse indirect, like Turbomax. It serves dual purpose. Buffer tank and DHW preheat tank.

For the chilled water tank, consider Rheem, RayPak, State or any of the regular tank manufacturers.

    Don't be a stranger:-)

There was an error rendering this rich post.

ao smith makes many storage tanks good for geo, a lot of them have 5 tappings and horizontal tanks are available too.

  • I just ran numbers on that heat tank setup mark; depending on DHW usage, the turbomax upgrade can be anywhere from a 5 year to 15 year payback it looks like.

more usage, faster payback of course.

    Interesting!
