i could only find brass [1 nipple+ 1 tee] which is better in the long run. i also chased the threads of the rad with a tap so the nipple would go in as far as it could.--nbc

1/8\" tee for radiators
Quick questions.
Short of tapping a large radiator with another 1/8" hole for another vent, will adding at tee and additional vent work just as good?
Not handy enough to tap and drill it...
they do make such part correct?
for large radiators, guestimating about ~30 vertical columns, how does one pitch it.
pitching opposite end will cause sag in middle? there are legs on middle so would we need to both pitch the end and middle legs? Please advise.
thanks.

vents on a tee
i've done that with hoffman vents, without problems except a little noise from condensate sitting in the tee.
just make sure that your mains are vented as much as possible. the rad air vents can only handle the air in the riser and rad-not the mains!
keeping the pressure low [below 1 psi] is also a help.--nbc0 -
Thanks. What did you use? brass or black pipe fittings?
