steam pipe and radiator banging after new boiler install

This is such a familiar story as the same thing happened to me. Please see my postings and follow my saga:

I bet the installer screwed it up and did not install the header correctly. Send pics!!!!

Good news it I got my issues resolved and had to have the boiler completely reinstalled. Read the above and see if it similar to your issues.

replace the insulation w/ 1 " fibreglass & post pictures of boiler piping to insure it is done correctly. you should not have water or water hammer----ever.

    Hi ****-
As Bob Young mentioned please post some pictures of the piping connected to your boiler. High resolution pictures are great as we can blow them up and study the detail closely. Also some pictures of the piping leading from the top of the boiler up to the mains, the overhead steam pipes, would be a big help. Though we can usually tell this from the pictures, You might also tell us the make and model of your boiler.
With the pictures we should be able to diagnose the cause of your problems.

    Installation Manual

Do you have the installation and operation manual for your boiler? If not, you need to call your installer and tell him you want them. You should look in the installation manual for the piping instructions where I believe you will find that your boiler is not piped properly. You can also call the manufacturer for a copy of the manual. What make and model boiler do you have?
