Watt's the problem?

system for a radiant floor. I am trying out the Watts/Heatway product and am having a devil of a time when air testing the loops and manifolds. I was told to soak the gaskets for the manifolds in water so they would seal better. Problem is they don't seal well and I keep getting false alarm leaks. Has anyone else had this problem, and what have you done about it? WW

Watts called me today...

before I could call them. They had seen this post. The gaskets I got should have been replaced with new rubber ones that don't need to be soaked to seal. My supplier must still have the old ones. They are sending me replacement gaskets for all the manifolds on my job. Now that's service! I must be honest. My enthusiasm for the product was ebbing. Now I am revved back up. Thank you Watts

Have them send me some too!

I just talked to one of my guys in the field, and he said he had one helluva time getting them to seal up. Ended up having to paint the gaskets with blue goo thread sealant to get them to hold...

They changed over

to the new gasket as of January 1st. I spoke with Rich McNally. He was most helpful. WW
