indirect

Can you pump from the from the bottom of the boiler instead? Or, is there an aquastat in series when the indirect is firing to prevent making steam?

    great question

if it were me I would use the air vent to get the intial air out then close it off. I would check w/ weil about the application as to the appropriateness of using that tank vs. a coil style....kpc
  • I wouldn't

use the air eliminator if the indirect is connected directly to the steam boiler . Any air introduced at the high point and the water will siphon back to the boiler .

Dan explains how to pipe a zone from a steam boiler in the link below . Substitute the indirect for the zone of heat and you'll be good to go .
