Was looking at the L45 but found it to be to much truck.

I am now planning on a E450 diesel with a twelve foot long dropped box.

Any luck good or bad

    Mitch.............

I don't have a 450 but do have a E350 diesel. Great truck but hard on brakes and front ends but will pull a house down with its power. Next to impossible to work on under the hood, have had fuel leaks in that area. I also have a Isuzu cab over box truck which I think is eazier to drive around town and is alot like the L45.Depending on what you do,ie: service,installs,heat,a/c,plumbing all of the above I don't think you can ever have enough truck(room). Plus I also like the cab space not part of the rolling warehouse.

    ?

Why buy one of those when you can get a Mitsubishi cab over? Or if you want something a little smaller get a Sprinter 20MPG do the math.

If you want versatility in a smaller package, you really can't beat the Dodge (i.e., Mercedes) Sprinter. But for power, its 2.7L turbo-diesel isn't even in the same ballpark as Ford's torquemonster Navistar 6L turbo-diesel in the 450.

    There's no replacement for displacement.
