    munchkin closet install

Finished this one today it was a little tight even before we put the indirect tank in ,but it all fit .The boiler is a t80 with a superstore 60 i believe .This home has the original copper in slab radiant and a addition with some heatway radiant in the slab also and a 2 nd floor zone of baseboard was wishingit was some over sized cast but no dice.I did all the piping and wiring and my partner who's job this is did the inlet and exhuast piping and added some cast base board to laundry room off of the existing newer radiant zone .We have to do a good clean up and finish off piping the safety and program the controller. My knees are dead i felt like ron jr. Peace and good luck clammy

I've never seen so much piping and controls and equipment in one little closet , and everything straight and square . Clammy , where most would just pipe as the crow flies , you raised the bar higher once again . I've seen my share of tight spots , but this is unbelievable . You are a master craftsman , buddy .

    Thanks

Thanks to all and espicially Ron .It was a liitle tight even for me it was a 1 man in the closet job went back late to day and finished the combustion air inlet piping and the saftey and backflow to a floor drain behind the superstore ,programmed the controller and gave the first floor a good pick up and cleaning .As for service i do tell the HO ,s that the unit will require yearly maintance and if they chose not to get them serviced then they will be doomed to permature possible replacement and lower eff and high gas bills .Again thanks you for your kind words but it really all the excellent craftmanship that i see here that makes me strive todo the best i can on every install ,but it does drive those who i work with and for nuts sometimes they just ask do you want me to leave now .Peace and good luck

Wow, are you boycotting copper? :)

I've never seen so many threaded joints in such a tight spot. Nice work. Don't forget the relief line.

    not boycotting

No hot rod not boycotting copper it only seems that way i,m just a steel pipe freak and it'is alot cheaper then copper .As for the male adpters into stell i can tell my partner about die electric union but can't force them to use or buy them ,i was just the sizing, piping and wiring fool on this one each time i do make a suggestion i am shut down with the same line of where am i going to get them i don't have a account there can you drive ,pick them up put on your account and never get paid for them ok copper male adp it's your choice .I try to do the best i can with whats giving to me most of the time i supply the screws hardware support stuff why? because i hate seeing drywall screws used for anything except dry wall know what i mean and to find made in america screws and hardware i drive about 15 miles away i hate made in taiwan ,china or malaysha hardware it strips and is garbage ,i know i have a mental promblem but each day i work on it and become more mental peace and good luck and again thanks for the kind words it's all you guys over the top work that pushes me to produce stuff that HO glare at and feel thyey have gotten the right job and there fuel bills always reflex it peace and good luck clammy

  • Are you saying these adapter will all leak on a closed system ? Sorry , but I've seen thousands of installs with tens of thousands of copper to male adapters screwed into black 90s , couplings , tees , cast iron boilers , Flow valves , circulator flanges , and the phenomenon you describe just dont happen . Sure they might leak if the fitting aint tight or you sweat the adapter after it's tight , but that can be corrected at install time .
