triangle tube Smart series. Instead a a tube heat exchanger, it's a tank within a tank. Potable water tank emersed in a tank of boiler water. Nothing to clog or scale up. Large HX surface area. Just has a dial on top color coded red for hot and blue for cool. Knock wood, never a problem. Last forever. WW

Looking into useing a new line of inderect, What kind are you all useing and why??? Is it a make up thing, cost , size of unit, ease of instalation, Piping, or what kind of control dose it offer???

I have two type I generally use..for the higher end customers I will use the weil-mclain/phase 3 type...most of the time I am using the Super stor Contender series..for the $ I think it is a great value...all steel easy to hook up. the only draw back is the surface mount aquastat...kpc

price is no object the Viessmann Vitocell 300 is incredible.On mid level I use Superstor Ultra.On the lower end Buderus S120,hard to beat for price.I'll have to check out Superstor Contender,I've seen a cutaway and the coil is huge

Isn't the Weil-Mclain/phase 3 type actually made by triangle tube, both utilizing a corrugated tank within a tank construction?

Buderus S Series has been recommended to me due to

ability to remove top cover and clean coil and inside tank. HO here; do any of the above-mentioned tanks have that feature?

and the Burnham (same tank manufacture I suspect) have clean out ports on top.

I also like the tank in tank Triangkle Tube or Weil branded version.
