    For a new hot water steam boiler for a cape size house, is $4,000 the ballpark figure? Too high, too low?

    Too many factors to consider, we have no info other than 4000 sq/ft. Hire the best contractor you can find and everything else will fall into place. There's a reason someone is the lowest bidder (check his references thoroughly). Best contractors give you the best job and this always saves you money over time. Quality doesn't cost, it pays...

    We really can't help with estimates on this site for there are too many varibles and its unfair to the trade in your area..
