I am New York City. Does anyone have names of companies (in Queens preferably) that buys used steam radiators and also buys steel pipes (both from a demolition job)

Unless the rads are filgreed or scrolled or very unique.........
you will probably have to rely on the scrap yard....prices are high right now. If they are unique, I may be interested, as I buy, sell, trade them when something out of the ordinary comes along. I believe there are a few places in The Village that deal with some old plumbing items and rads, but that's all I know of these days. Mad Dog

Thanks David and Mad Dog. I did contact Oldgoodthings.com main office in the Village, but at this time they do not additional inventory.
Mad Dog, I don't know if they are fair market price, but I contacted two scrap yards in Queens. One said they would paid 1 cent per pound and the other said 5 cents per pound. Also contacted Kevin & Richard Hardware at 653 Myrtle Ave. in Brooklyn. They buy and sell used steam radiators. They would paid $1.00 per section regarless of width and height of the radiator. We (two of us) pulled out 11 units that are in great shape, but they are plain. We placed them on the garage of the building for now. I enjoy working with steam heating, so I don't like the idea that these good steam radiators will be scrapped.

Old Radiators
We don't usually talk $$ at this site but here in Chicago the "radiator yards" will give $1 per section and get $11 per section. You gotta love capitalism and it is what it is. This has been true for years. Scrap is super high right now. Do your math.0
