Busman's Holiday, Ted?
Interesting view of things; did you even see any Cathedrals or the Parthenon? By you snapping such photos in the Men's Rooms no less, I wonder what the locals thought? I bet they gave you the Men's Room all to yourself...
OK, I admit it, I would have done the same thing.... glad it was you!

You won't be bored by my pictures then, will you?
Here are picture of the same Zurich airport, they have radiant panels hiding in the steel mesh panels. All the rigid piping here is pex-al-pex, propress style fittings and temperature compensated balancing valves.
The view along the wall shows how a high delta t calls for tiny steel pipes, welded together. Of course, they don't know of steam heat over there.
The view in the parking garage is interesting for the use of hot dipped galvanized I beams all bolted together; the epoxy painted decks are made of concrete poured on the roll formed sheet metal profiles; and the drains made of polypropylene plastic (like our plastic sink traps) that are welded together with heated ping pong paddle like machines.
The underground cable car they've got to connect the concourse is the most fun, unlike the one in Covington CVG that is just a long straight dash, the one in Kloten ZRH twists around sharp corners and goes up and down. Woohoo. Worth the detour. Is there anything else worth seeing?
Eh, I forgot to go to the boys' room. Good thing you didn't.

Hey brad. I've seen the ruins before. This trip was about the beach.

Wouldn't it be cool to see a billboard advertising a boiler in the US?

that's what happens.....
When Greek P&H guys drink too much ouzo
Unfortunately, I have seen lots of jobs like this both on the island my parents come from, and in Athens.
I heard that the reason that European engineers had to be so good at designing plumbing, heating, and cooling that are easy to install is because all the good craftsmen came over to the good ole' USA. Were talking propress fittings, pex, minisplits, and all the other cool easy to install technology.
This way, Greeks (Ouzo), Germans (Beer), French (Wine), and Brits (Grog) all can complete their work while still inebriated from the night before!!!!
I have never been in that airport, I am surprised that the security guys didn't question the photos!
Hope you had a good trip Ted, I see you left just before the real summer tourist season starts over there...
