Triangle Tube Prestige and rust in the condensate

Mark,
Most likely "rust" in the condensate is burnt dust and product of combustion residue that build-up in the boiler heat exchanger. The boiler condensate flush away this build-up. It is possible that more condensate your boiler produce more residue will flush away. Nick

  • Triangle Tube Prestige and rust in the condensate

On about four of our Prestige instillations they are producing rust colored water in the condensate.

    Has anyone had this experience???

    Thank you,

  • actually....

the only time I saw this it was clay dust from construction out side. Apparently there was landscaping going on and a high amount of clay in the soil. Actually cologged the condensate nuetralizers!

    Hi Mark--

I have a TT 110 with three years of service. The line from the boiler trap to the condensate neutralizer is clear and clean. The line from the neutralizer to the condensate pump and then from pump to the drain is obviously discolored a reddish brown. I don't know if its animal, vegetable or mineral. Rust would be a good fit for the color, but its definitely only below the neutralizer.

Solo 60 and this is in mine.
Not sure what it is, or where it came from.
My piping is clean also, even the unit trap.
