    williamson used to be the best built warm air furnace on the market after 102 yrs they went bankrupt company has been sold at least twice since about 1992

    From the serial number, that unit is most likely 21 years
    old. But then, most contractors, in my experience, don't give those sticky little administrative details a second thought. D88 typically is the key.

    I'll answer here

    1988 vintage. Yes, they were TANKS. Probably not that efficient though with a vent damper and spark ignition, probably pushing 80% AFUE. Saw one the other day from the early 70s. Looked like the day it was installed!
