Pepper in a boiler
Has anyone ever heard of or tried using pepper (granulated) as temporary fix for a leak in a cast iron hot water boiler?0 -
Not Pepper
But Oatmeal works..... You get breakfast too
Plug up everything in a hot water system. We use to hammer in lead in larger cracks first. Learned to just shut them down. The good deed is not worth the law suit....And others would run it for years if they could. There was an error rendering this rich post.

there are many products for this --i've used a few with mixed results --some will slow the leak down others i have had running for years and still holding --- it all depends on what the leak is -if its a gasket your out of luck --if its a small crack it will help personally i like the IPC brands' stop leak0 -

A frenchman staying at a hotel
phoned room service for some pepper. "Black pepper, or white pepper?" he was asked.
"Toilet pepper!"0
