hot water loop off steam system

Another aquastat? If steam there wont be one.
When using the same thermostat for both(provided you sized the HW zone properly), install an aquastat below the boilers waterline to start and stop the circ with a TRV on the rad to prevent any overshoot.
I would also use a PD valve to stop any dead-heading of that circ.
Pretty basic really.

Dave

 • I am going to run a hot water baseboard loop off my steam system. I have a 2 year old Well- Mclain and know exactly how to run the piping. My problem is the wiring. I am going to be running this baseboard off the existing thermostat in the house but I do not no how to wire the circulator pump. And do i have to add another aquastat? I would greatly appreciate if someone can try to explain this to me. Thanks
