Lots of water coming out of steam valve!

I have old style circa 1930's steam Radiators, and some of them are spraying out alot of water from the steam valve (not the butterfly valve on the floor). What would cause ALOT of water to come out of this valve. Still heating room, but lots of water accumulating on floor!

You may have put to much water in the boiler. It should be two inches above the hartford loop.
