"click and clack" on N.P.R.'s "car talk" frequently contact people who have previously received advice on the show on car problem resolutions. the point is to see whether the advice was successful in diagnosing/fixing the problem.
therefore i wish to encourage any attendees here to keep in touch about the helpfulness of any advice they received here-especially in regard to leaking boilers limping through on oatmeal/flax seed/wood-shimming, etc. we have all been in those situations, and it helps to share information!--nbc

I'll start.
Previously I posted about my HWBB boiler was lifting the over pressure safety valve. Suggestions I received included replacing the safety valve, replacing the auto fill valve, and check for a indirect coil leak.
The failure turned out to be a leaking by auto fill valve. I installed an isolation valve between the auto feeder and the boiler and the problem has ceased.
Thanks for the suggestions and help.
