Interesting!
Sorry for the double post.
I watch the job postings pretty regularly, never know when it may be time for a change, keep options open, etc. But I don't know how I'd begin to support the family on a buck an hour!!!
Good luck to him0 -
Too bad the labour laws do not allow that. I think that is what some low bidders hope to earn though.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.

I LIKE that attitude.....
I had that attitude when I wanted a job. In fact, one time, I sent my resume out to 100 union shops....it was DEAD at the time I ended the resume with a final comment: "I come to work ontime, EVERY DAY......AND I give it HELL!!!!!" it got someones attention.only one shop called me bACK.... I got hired as a foreman to run a renovation at Columbia University Law School. This kid will have a job before the weekend is out. Mad Dog

helper
Right on Mad Dog, I remember waiting on line for an application for Local Union #2 Plumbers NYC with my Dad at 5 am, just to get an interview, I remember they asked to see my hands (they were callused) I was working for a licensed shop in Queens at the time, I didn't get the union gig, but I remember how hungry I was and how little I would work for just to learn a great trade.. He will get a job no problem....0 -
I could
possibly use him, he's 1/2 hr on a good traffic day from my area. On a 7 say a week schedule right now, have amongst things, a 600 panel Quick Trac job coming up.
But, it's such a tumultuous time...0
