.... Any piping diagrams. It was more of a basic sketch and maintance tips. Maybe it was a owner manual. Yes the three inch would be for steam....

I was wondering if anyone out there had install manuals with piping diagrams for older Am Standard boilers, cica 1970ish.
I would like to compare the way my boiler is piped vs the manufacturers drawings.
The boiler is a #G-26-SPD
Series# 7BNSE-J6
I`m wondering if the plugged 3" tapping was supposed to be used for steam and the 2" was for water trim.
Thanks Jim S0 -
manuals
does it really matter that it might not be piped to manaufacterers recommandation that old boiler is an energy hog you should be thinking of replacing it0 -
Sure the top tapping
wasn't 3-inch and someone bushed it down?

nope
2" right out of the boiler section.
Looks like someone didn`t want to put the effort into working with 3" pipe.0
