I had a person add Diesel fuel to the Glycol feeder serving a triangle tube boiler with a smart 60 Dom. water heater. My question is what is the best solution on removing the diesel from the hydronic system

    fuel cleanup

naturally you will drain and refill the system. would it be possible to add a section of piping, at the "high point" of the system- a sort of reverse drip leg? if it worked the lighter fuel would float up into this section which could then be emptied. over a period of time all the fuel would end up there.--nbc

  • You might give Rhomar a call 800.543.5975 and ask them. They're good people to work with.

    I vote with NBC

    Nick is tight and tight.

Where did you find a person willing to add petrol to the water side and why did he think it was a good idea?

That system needs some serious chemical cleaning.

  • I agree with Mike. I'd get the diesel fuel out of there ASAP!
As I mentioned above, contact Rhomar I'm sure they have had experience with a similar situation as yours and can advise you. Take a look at the data sheet on their Hydro-Solv 9100 and like I said, talk to them. They may have suggestions on something that works better. You can probably get their products from your local supplier.
