The best way is if the boiler would supply the correct amount of BTU's with the given load. The load will increase as the outdoor temperture drops. A outdoor reset will very the boiler temperture for the load .
What you have is cold start boiler. Or using a triple to maintain min boiler tempertaure

Relay Question
I have a new install multistage forced air furnace Air Ease Mod# EM1P36CG-1 and a heat exchanger above the A coil connected to a wood fired boiler system. Two stats are in place 1 for furnace heat and the second for boiler heat. Ideally I would like to run on boiler heat and should the boiler cool the furnaces call for heat cycle would start and run until satisfied.
My heating guy said he needed to look into how to wire the relay with a multistage system W-1 and W-2? That was a month ago . Right now I have the boiler heat jerry rigged to the pump and I manually turn the furnace fan switch on or off (had to see how the add on boiler worked)
Thanks

Easy with understanding of controls
There are several ways to control operation. I would use a L6006 aquastat located on the return to the boiler coil. Run the R from the board which is the line for low voltage to the common on the aquastat . The reverse side of the L6006 will go to G on the board and the limit side will go to R on the thermostat.
Burning wood and when the coil heats up it will drop out the furnace but kick on the fan. Cools off the furnace thermostat will take over....There was an error rendering this rich post.

Boiler turns on everytime Air-Handler does
Hello forum...I have a Weil McLain P-WGO-4 boiler running my Hot Water and my Air Handler (First Co. 48MBXR-4HW). The HW tank, air-handler, and boiler are all within a few feet of one another. I've noticed that the boiler turns on each time the air handler gets a call for heat. The temp on the boiler reads 160 before and after the unit turns on. Is there a way to add a thermostat so that the boiler will only turn on if the water temp in the air handler gets too low? Seems like that's how it should be.
Thanks,
