Water hammer from new drip line - Help!

I am in the midst of a major renovation. To open up floor space, he removed a portion of the condensate return and installed a condensate tank and pump, which works fine with no problem.
In the process, he removed a 3/4-inch drip line, that originally ran horizontally for four feet and then straight to the return on near the floor. This pipe now runs horizontally four feet in the other direction to the wall, then ten feet to the right, then three feet to the right at which point it runs vertically to the floor return. The horizontal runs all have a good pitch.
Now there is tremendous water hammer. From previous posts, I hear that this is all wrong.
Is there a way to make it right?
Should the line be larger pipe?
The plumber, as nice as he is, apparently doesn't realize that he doesn't really understand the nuances of steam design. I need help!
