Water level glass

Anybody know the length of the glass for the glass on an IN8, Burnham steam kit, about 10 years old? Also, is there any way of cutting the glass without the expensive glass cutter? Supplier would have cut it but I didn't know the length and whomever he called at Burnham couldn't tell him.

gauge glass
I use a soil pipe type hand squeeze wheel cutter, got it at Sids. I would guess they are still available, cost $20 or so. In old days I would score them with a 3 corner file and snap off, sometimes clean, sometimes not. I always sand the cut point with 40 grit emery. Main thing is new washers and not to lose the thin brass washer that's next to the gauge glass nuts.0 -
Thanks
Burnham got back to the supplier on 9" length. Now we'll either let them cut it or try ourselves.0
