Radiant heat under wood floors
Does the radiant piping and wood floor direction need to be perpendicular to each other in an floor joist application?0 -
not really
depending on the type of flooring installation Nail down strip hardwood often goes opposite of the joist direction. But with todays super underlayments I'd think the hardwood could run any direction.
It is much easier to install the radiant with the direction of the joist, unless you need a lot of drilling practice
