I do not think that I have used it much since. Are you feeling nostalgic? Break out the ol' abacus and slide-rule? :)
But yes, it is another way to express feet of head in very tiny increments.

I have all the tables - and they are still published by the UA. Surprisingly - they are part of a steamfitter/pipefitter cirriculum here in Alberta. Interesting method of friction loss. :-) And yes I still have a bamboo core slide rule -0
