EG-55 Weil Mclain Boiler pilot/gas valve question.
I have a EG-55 Weil Mclain Hot Water Boiler system, with electronic ignition. While the boiler is attempting to light the main burners, the pilot light will light just fine, then the gas will flow, and the main burners will light just fine. Sometimes though, the pilot light will light, then the gas valve sounds like is clicking at about 0.5 Hz, and then shuts off after a couple seconds. Other times it might click a couple time, then go ahead and light the main burners. The system is 9 years old. I have taken out the pilot assembly and cleanded it with steel wool, and that seems to help. Any ideas would be appreciated!
