Insurance Co. stealing customers?

Has anyone experienced an insurance company being allowed to (hire their own contractor) change out a boiler when the customer already has a contractor. I've done a substantial amount of work for a group of churches in my area and quite frankly work too cheap but I kind of have a soft spot for these churches (I'm a member of one of them). Here is the skinny: customer called and said the local utility noticed a slight leak in one of the boilers (there are 2 side by side) I noted a small leak in one of the intermediate sections. I quoted them a verbal price. They contacted their carrier who then said they wanted a price to repair ( http://forums.invision.net/Thread.cfm?CFApp=2&&Message_ID=428915&_#Message428915 ). I told customer it was a bad idea and they should replace it. Today I find out the carrier sent a contractor there and a deal has been made to replace it between carrier and contractor. Do I have any recourse? I'm in very well with these churches and refuse to believe they would ok such a thing..

Any input would be appreciated

Thank You.

The insurance company is the customer now not the church if

the insurance company is paying the bill. Now maybe the church could request that you do the install but final word is insurance.
