oiling B&G circulating motor & pump

Options
requires oiling will have provision for oiling if not it is sealed and requires no oil. Oiling should be done if required once at the beginning of the heating season and once in the middle of the season. Check for the specifications on your particular pump by going to the pump manufact. web site for directions.

Hot water boiler Circulator & Pump lube?

I have a gas fired hot water heating system with three zones. All three zones are fed by one red B&G circulating motor & pump. My question is how often and how much oil should I use to lube the motor & pump. When I installed a new pump a few years ago it came with a container of mineral oil which was used on startup. Should the pump be filled to the top with oil? I am presently using 30 weight non-detergent oil. Hopefully I am not doing any harm. Also I have three electrozone zone valves. I think that they may be sticking open at times. Is there any was to service these valves.

5 or 6 drops in motor bearings and 15 or so in the front

(nearest pipe) bearing assembly oil cup at start of season and in middle should do you. Regarding zone valves, depending on type but for the most part not serviceable to speak of.
