The first annual Long Island Big Ugly Rugby Fundraiser

In Nassau County. ALL are welcome. The idea is to integrate the Wallies with the Rugby community for a REAL good time and to give these young athletes a little support. We plan on having a Pig roast, all kinds of BBQ fare, lots of beer...maybe some entertainment. The Long Island Colts Under-19 Team will face off against a traveling team. Anyone who is not familair with Rugby should note that it is:

A) A Hooligan's sport played by Gentlemen vis-a-vis soccer which is a Gentleman's sport played by hooligans!!!!
B) Very casual and friendly
C) Sideline picnics, cocktails, chili and goat-cheese on crackers, Chardonnay are standard.

This is a traveling, HIGHLY_RATED team that has spawned several international players. However, they need support and alittle $$$ to keep going. My nephew, Bartholomew Sweeney V is on the team. Expected notables are Dan Holohan himself, Johnny White, John NY, Alex Marx, Brad White, Mark Hunt and Darin Cook, Pam Humbert and Tommy Schwarz, Scott Milne. The boys are practicing hard in the snow, ice and rain. Hope you'll can make it!
