Do You \"Bleed\" A Steam Radiator?

would be for a hot water heating system. Specifically to get air out to quiet it and make it more efficient. Steam heat does not need the bleeding but it does have air vent to get out the air in the radiator each cycle to allow the steam to get in faster.

Neighbor in My Building Said . . .
she has been meaning to "bleed" her radiator. We have one pipe steam heat in our building. Do you bleed a steam radiator? Or is bleeding for radiators that fill with water to heat?0 -
Bleeding is for hot water heat. One pipe systems have a vent on each rad that lets the air out as steam enters. Air & steam cannot occupy the same space.

That is what I thought. I just wanted one of you experts to confirm it for me.0
