I want to know if I should install pump on return or supply of boiler and should I install a bypass0 -
Depending on
what kind of boiler you have determines the need for a bypass.
If a conventional cast iron or other non-condensing boiler, yes, a bypass is required to keep the return water temperature above the dewpoint. Ideally, this would take the form of a 3-way temperature activated valve or a variable speed setpoint circulator; make it "smart", not just "set and forget".
As for the pump location, that matters less than where the expansion tank is connected. Always connect the expansion tank as closely upstream of the circulator pump as you can.0 -
Exactly!
Thanks, Scrook... My other new years resolution is to be more succinct..
