Overfilled boiler
I was trying to help a friend whose boiler keeps overfilling. It has a McDonnel Miller LWCO unit with a Hydrolevel probe in it. When I pulled it out, it was totally gunked up, as I expected. I also found that the ceramic sleeve around the end of the probe appeared to be cracked at the base and was loose on the probe. Am I correct to assume the unit has to be completely replaced?0 -
Probe
Would be cheaper for your friend to just replace the probe. There was an error rendering this rich post.

Is that a adapter....
.... On that job that attached to a float type lwco ? So you can install a probe type. ? I seen that some where ? Do you know who makes them ?There was an error rendering this rich post.

No, Ed, the LWCO is electrical, not mechanical. Not familiar with any adapter.0
