heating season 1/3 over?

I guess it depends on your latitude, but here if you look at our historic heating degree days, it close to about 1/3 over.
Do you think YOU/customers have used 1/3 of the fuel you will normally use this heating season?
For the dynamics of my house (we get about 6,800 HDD) I swear I use much more in the 2/3 part of the heating season than the 1/3 and the last 3rd.

I would say true for where we are also.
Jan & feb are a fair amount colder than nov & december here in Seattle. I would say probably 20% colder.0 -
thirds
The middle third of our (southeastern New England) heating season typically accounts for half or more of the total heating season HDD. e.g., SepOctNov = 1500 HDD, DecJanFeb = 3000 HDD, MarAprMay = 1500 HDD. Very broadly speaking.0
