Working on Bethlehem Dynatherm dual aquastat L4081b failed. Replaced with Honeywell L7224U.Completed all necessary wiring, energized unit, realized extended burner head was operating at 400 degree, checked control near 143 degree, want to remove control to outside of cabinet.
Question- can probe sensor wiring be extended, if so is there a preference of wire to be used.

I bought one
from Patriot when I needed one. They come in different lengths but my suppliers had no idea they were even available. I can't say if you could extend one but I wouldn't see why not.
Head should not be that hot either. Make sure cloverleaf is in place and boiler is clean.
