Direct vent for gas boiler
give you any required clearances? Usually with PVC or CPVC it is "0" to maybe 1". I would however check with local code folks as they may have other ideas.

Weil-McLain direct vent
I am installing my first CGs gas fired boiler. This is a direct vent and combustion air intake through the sill of a one family house. My question is. Do I need to sleeve the flue pipe as it pass through the 2 x 10 sill to create the 2" clearance from combustable material or do I just use the terminal fitting shipped with the boiler that exposes the 2 x 10 to the flue pipe? Can any one offer advice on this situation? Thank you0
