Heat Resistant Tape Recommendations?

Install the lenghts along the piping first , seal the seams if you like with scrim tape. Pick up a bag of stick tight. Mix it up with enough water to make a thick mush. And pack the exposed fittings to finish the job.

Heat Resistant Tape Recommendations?
I am going to be covering my steam with fiberglass pipe insulation. I am thinking that I will be taping the ends of the fiberglass covers to seal them, therefore the tape will be attached directly to the hot pipe at some points.
2 questions:
1. Curious if anyone can recommend good heat resistant tape?
2. Will the tape adhere to a very hot steam pipe?
Thanks in advance for feedback.

Thanks Big Ed!
Should I just put the stick tight on the fittings without fiberglass?0 -
Yes.
Cut the fiberglass to fit fitting to fitting and stick- tight the fittings. Very large fittings like 4" and up you can chicken wire first to help hold the stick-tight. Regular hourhold 2" you can just use stick-tight. The trick is to mix it well with just the right amount of water, not dripping wet but wet. and pack it tight to get the bubbles or air cavities out. Start with the ones you don't see. The more you do the better you get.
