When I remove the low water probe for cleaning, will I find a gasket under the probe, that will have to be replaced, or how does it seal to the boiler?

probe cleaning
Well, the probe threads into a pipe tap, no gasket just some teflon tape when you put it back into the boiler. The "probe" is attached to the back of a box, the electronic low water cut-off and only the small part that goes into the boiler is taken out. The probe is disconnected from the box, the box is set aside or left to hang on the wires. Make sure the power is off before you take the wire off the probe portion. The old ones were high voltage even if the supply is 24V. Good for you on the cleaning, they say to do it once a year, most never get touched.0 -
Don't use tape on the probe
Use dope. They want continuity.0
