Thanks, Dan. Did not work. Still arrives as a cfm or such file, and won't open.
I've since scanned it and edited my post so that the pdf is now a jpg, and it opens OK.
If you find out why the pdf downloads as an obscure file, please let me know.

Change file name to Attachment.pdf
I live in the Mac world with Firefox.
The attachment arrives as a blank icon file titled Attachment.cfm
I change the file name to Attachment.pdf and it is fine.

Mac World
Only Macs since the late 1980s here. And Firefox. Thanks much for the tip to change the suffix. Can you explain what's changing the suffix?

Opening Attachments
It's an older Mac compatibility thing. I have an older Mac running 10.2.8
A newer Mac running 10.4.11 does not have this problem. In fact when you click on the file on the Wall, the file opens immediately on your screen - where you can look at it or save it.
Ask Santa for a new Mac - or a new operating system.
