Anyone seen,
this movie yet?
I always liked Keanu Reeves, but I question his agent. Tough to re-do a well done classic.
I wonder what Micheal Rennie or Robert Wise would think?
Klaatu Barata Niktoe.

Just saw it...
I preferred the original, but Keanu Reeves does a good Klaatu. Gort is the same shape, just 80 feet taller. it's worth seeing, I'd give it a B- It is not the 'Godfather' of science fiction film, by any means.

Not yet....
but I defiantly will.
Just seeing the advertisements for it was enough for me to put the original one on my Netflix's list.
I cut my teeth on those old science fiction movies! There was an error rendering this rich post.

I preferred
the original too Paul, but as a sentimentalist I went anyway.
I wonder if/when they`ll re-do Teenage Werewolf?, remember Micheal Landon(Little Joe) in that one?

When i was a little kid I watched this movie by myself and it scared the sh@t out of me! I only remember bits and pieces. I even got a DVD of the original and I am ashamed to say I haven't taken the time to watch it.0 -
Ed , Ed , Ed ,,,,
C,mon now, nothing to be scared-of.
Remember the original was almost 57 years ago!
Watch your DVD of the original, its better.
Dave0 -
Maybe it is time to watch it and then go see the new movie0 -
Perhaps,
but I think you`ll be disappointed in the new version.
BTW-If you watch the old version closely, Aunt Bea is in there too!

Sheesh,,,, get a life!
Perhaps I sound sarcastic, but do you have any licensed qualifications in this industry, or are you just a handy guy with some steam heating experience?
Either way, I enjoy reading your posts!

self-taught
self-taught by living with the same 54 1-pipe rads, and a succession of 4 boilers [from coal to gas] for 62 years.however the real learning curve intensified when i came here for help, during "sea-trials" of boiler #4 and its problems!
my actual training is in mechanical [automobile] engineering, so i was able to adapt--nbc0 -
Wait they are letting engineers on here? I got to talk to Dan about this right away.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.
