Help for a confused handyman/homeowner....
I have a burnham boiler wiht 4 taco zone control valves and one taco ciruculating pump...
Local oil service-man performed annual startup/tuneup procedure early fall....boiler seemed to run fine.....
However shortly thereafter I noticed circulator never stopped running even when zone valves were not open or calling for heated water......
I called the service man back.....he said, okay something wrong with electrical, call this specific electrician....
I called the electrician, and he came out, and said nothing wrong with wiring....must be something in bolier aquastat......
Now i dont know what to do.....ciculator still running no stop.....anything homeowner can do?? any suggestions on who to call, another service company or anohter electrician?
a few notes, the system has been set up and running well since i bought the house 4 years ago, and the boiler was replace 4 years prior to that, heating bill does has not seemed excessive, and the house is comfotable to live in

Hello Dave?
It could be anything from a sticking relay in the aquastat to a shorted wire on one of the zones. You should always call a Heating/A/C company as we see these calls all the time. It makes me wonder why the oil guy couldn't find the problem and if he actually knows how to service the equipment. If you think about it, that's like saying..."Garage door guy" Well the door goes up and the door goes down, but the drive motor keeps running, better call an electrician....???
