Ray Boiler

I have a few in now and they run great. Customers are happy. My local rep took care of any issues, and Mestek is good about helping out. I am continuing to offer them with good success. Knights do not weigh as much, but are SS HX not CI.

Anyone have feedback on the new Ray boiler, problems, tech support, parts etc?

I have installed one so far with good results. I am looking forward to doing more. I think the cast iron is such a good idea. It does weigh 500#.

    Indirect Sizing

I'd be tempted to upsize the indirect with the Ray. Having to heat up 500 pounds every time there is a domestic hot water call isn't going to translate into good efficiency on shorter burns, especially in the summer.

With 200k btu's firing the indirect recovery has not been an issue. I have two running now. Both have 80 gallon SSUs. One is a six unit building and the other is a five unit. Neither building has ever had as much and as consistant hot h2o as they do now. Number three is going in this week. It is a fantastic product and is extremely well supported by Mestek and our local Mestek Rep.

I will continue to spec these out without hesitation.
